51 netted in Kazo for flouting curfew guidelines

Police in Kazo is holding fifty one people for flouting curfew guidelines.
According to Kazo District Police Commander, Superintendent of Police, Hadali Kosai, these people were pedestrians and were arrested on Monday night, following an operation to enforce curfew time in Kazo Town Council.
In the same operation, thirty three motorcycles, nineteen vehicles were impounded.
Kosai revealed to our reporter that the operation was in a move to curb down the violation of 9pm to 5:30a.m curfew time, which has resulted into high criminal rates in the area.
Kosai adds that due to the laxity of some of the Ugandans, COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures are no longer followed, however, he says he is not ready to stand aside and look on when the disease is being transmitted.
