52 old man in Apac held for defiling own daughter

Police in Apac is holding a 52-year-old man for allegedly defiling his eight- year old biological daughter.
Tom Obote, a resident of Ayomjeri village, Atana Parish in Apac Sub County, Apac District is currently detained at Apac Central Police Station,
This followed a tip off from the local leaders after the victim disclosed that his father had been defiling her since last year, a month after her mother fled home over domestic violence.
This morning, a team of Ayom-yeri Village Council rescued Obote from the hands of an angry mob that wanted to take his life and handed him over to police at Apac Central Police Station where he is being detained.
He is charged with aggravated defilement, which is contrary Section 129 of the Penal Code Act Cap 120 under file number SD Ref 24/30/06/2021 at Apac Central Police Station.
Henry Mpirwe, the Apac Acting DPC confirmed the arrest and charging of Obote though he didn’t divulge the details.
