NUP Legislators remanded Over Masaka Massacre

Kawempe North MP, Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya and Kawempe West MP, Hon. Allan Ssewanyana have been remanded to Kitalya Prison over Murder charges until September 15th.
According to the prosecution led by Richard Birivumbuka, MPs Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana hosted a series of planning meetings at Kayanja Rest House and Happy Boys in Kampala where they planned the murders.
The 2 MPs are said to have participated in the murder of 3 residents of Kimanya last month.

The two MPs who were last week summoned to record statements over the murders were on Tuesday afternoon arrested and detained at Masaka Police Station.

The Masaka Magistrates Court, later on, charged them with four counts, with three being of murder and one of attempted murder.
