Orthodox Archbishop Lwanga to be buried on Monday

The burial of the late Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga is scheduled for next Monday, according to the Orthodox Church.
Sylvestos Kisitu, the Gulu and Eastern Uganda Orthodox Bishop announced at a press conference he jointly addressed with the Information and National Guidance Minister, Chris Baryomunsi yesterday.
Bishop Kisitu says Metropolitan Lwanga’s body will arrive from Greece on Saturday morning, and thereafter, they will conduct the last funeral rites for the deceased at the Orthodox cathedral in Namugoona starting at 10am on Saturday followed by speeches from different dignitaries, continuing through the entire Sunday, then the burial will take place on Monday at 4 pm at Namugoona cathedral grounds.
The Information and National Guidance Minister, Chris Baryomunsi, said that the Ugandan government has been in touch with the Greek government and the hospital to ensure the return the smooth return of Metropolitan Lwanga’s body and meet all the funeral and burial expenses.
