Residents in Kyampangara 1, in Kyampangara sub –county, Kazo district are still in total shock, following an incident in which a family from Mukono district, that had just shifted to the village brought five dead bodies of their relatives and buried them there without the leader’s consent.
According to eyewitnesses, the family came in early evening hours over the weekend and immediately started digging graves to bury the bodies, which prompted the residents to tip the village chairperson, who later informed the police.
Ariikiriza Mackline, one of the family members told our reporter that its their norm to shift with their late relatives’ bodies since they were migrating to another place.
The family then expressed grievance following the arrest of its members, arguing that they had the documents from the place of origin that allows them act that way.
When contacted, Kazo Police Station Officer in Charge of Criminal Investigation Department-CID, ASP Frank Arinaitwe confirmed the arrest of Amos Muhanguzi the head of family and his son Mugisha Richard saying the family did not follow the right procedures in such an act.
