Livestock theft increases in Kiruhura district

Residents in Kenshunga Sub-County in Kiruhura district are living in fear after unknown people started stealing people’s livestock and this has been revealed by Matsiko Perez, the Sub-County LCIII Chairman.

Chairman Mujuni disclosed this to Kiruhura Deputy RDC, Kamukama Nicholas in the sub county security meeting held at Kenshunga EPICETER, Rwabigyemano Cell, Kiruhura district.

Chairman Matsiko noted that four cells in his Sub-County including Katete I, Katete II, Mirama and Kanyabihara have all reported cases of  theft.

In meeting, resolutions made to fight thieves include, all shops shall be closing at exactly
7:00pm, registering home workers, licencing animal traders among others.
Kiruhura Deputy RDC, Nicholas Kamukama confirmed that all the agreed resolutions are to be implemented.
